NOT GUILTY

July 1, 2016

In March 2010, Jeremiah P. Connolly obtained a defense verdict on behalf of the City of Chicago in a claim brought by a 26 year old woman working as a cab starter at O'Hare Airport.  As a result of falling into a hole in the pavement on the lower level of Terminal 2, the plaintiff suffered a comminuted fracture of the radius and ulna in her wrist, requiring five surgeries with permanent loss of function and arthritis.  Her medical bills alone totaled $182,000 and she missed considerable time from work.  Plaintiffs requested a verdict between $750,000 and $940,000.  The jury returned a verdict of not guilty.
